Volunteer At The Clinic

          Do you have a spare hour or two a week or a month? We welcome volunteers of all abilities
          and talents who are at least 16-years old.

           There are lots of ways to help us:
UCAN - Get involved. Volunteer

Be one of our volunteer photographers
Preparation of surgical packs
Cage and crate cleaning
Early morning check-in
Late afternoon check-out
Help at Saturday wellness clinics
General tidying up around the clinic and in the warehouse
Lawn care and gardening for the front of the clinic
Answering phones and filing
Distribute brochures and post flyers
Write articles for our newsletter or other publications
General maintenance and minor repairs at clinic
Special projects and events
Make pet toys and other items for our gift shop
Collect items for our garage sale
Coordinate donations for our wish list
Work at your convenience to help maintain our Facebook, Twitter and Craigslist accounts

We offer both group and individual orientations - whatever will fit your schedule. If you choose to attend a group
attend a group orientation, you just might meet another interested volunteer
with whom you could work. Volunteering can be even more fun with a friend.

• Thrift Shop volunteer. We need ongoing help sorting, pricing and staging merchandise as well as sales help on Saturdays.

• Outreach volunteer: Help by handing out UCAN
brochures at events such as fairs, parades, etc.

• Event volunteer: Work in the UCAN booth at events such as “Everything Pets” or at our annual Steps for Pets walk

• Fundraising Committee: serve on this committee which plans ways to raise money for the clinic

• Events Committee: serve on this committee which plans events such as our "Steps for Pets" walkathon

• Help to produce or our newsletter or other publications

• Make pet toys and other items for our gift shop
